Ford New Holland 1715 Tractor Operator's Manual
This operator's manual is the factory operation and maintenance reference for the Ford 1715 compact diesel tractor, running roughly 68 pages of controls, operating procedures, lubrication and maintenance schedules, and specifications. It's the book that came with the machine: how to read the instrument panel and Proof-Meter, how to start and operate the diesel engine, how to run the transmission, four-wheel drive and PTO, and how to keep the tractor serviced between dealer visits. Originally published by Ford New Holland and delivered here as an instant PDF download you can read on any device or print for the cab.

About the Ford 1715
The 1715 is a compact diesel tractor built in Japan for Ford New Holland and sold through the Ford New Holland dealer network. As the manual documents, it uses a diesel engine with a glow-plug cold-start aid, a range-type geared transmission with high, middle, low and creeper ranges, an optional four-wheel-drive front axle with connect/disconnect, and a hydraulic three-point lift system. A Rollover Protective Structure (ROPS) and seat belts were standard equipment at time of factory assembly.
These small Ford diesels remain in steady use on smallholdings, properties and turf work, and a great many are still earning their keep. That's exactly why the original owner's book still matters: it carries the starting interlocks, service intervals, tire pressures, weighting guidance and torque figures specific to this tractor — the details generic guides don't carry.

Why This Manual Matters
- The book that shipped with the tractor. It documents day-to-day operation and maintenance as the factory intended — the reference an owner reaches for first.
- Diesel-specific starting and safety guidance. Glow-plug cold-start operation, fuel shutoff valve, warning-light checks and diesel fuel handling are all spelled out for this machine.
- Correct service intervals and reference data. The lubrication and maintenance chart, tire pressures, weighting guidance and general torque specification table let you service to spec rather than guess.
- Transmission, 4WD and PTO operation. Range and creeper selection, four-wheel-drive connect/disconnect, and PTO speed limits (the manual notes PTO-driven equipment should not exceed 2419 rpm) are covered as printed.
- Predelivery and 50-hour service pages. Includes the dealer/owner predelivery record and the factory-recommended 50-hour service — useful documentation for a machine's service history.
- Factory literature is increasingly hard to find. This searchable, restored PDF puts the original operator's manual back in your hands.
