Ford 1300 Tractor Operator's Manual
50 pages, digital download
This is the original factory Operator's Manual for the Ford 1300 compact tractor, issued by Ford Tractor Operations under manual code SE 3750. It covers both two-wheel and four-wheel drive, with separate service procedures for each, and runs from international symbols and controls through operation, the full lubrication and maintenance schedule, specifications, safety decals, and the pre-delivery and 50-hour service checklist.
About the Ford 1300
The Ford 1300 was one of Ford's Shibaura-built compact tractors, powered by a two-cylinder diesel of 49.1 cu. in. (804 cc) rated at 2700 rpm and producing 13.5 observed PTO horsepower. It shares that engine with the smaller Ford 1200 but carries it in a considerably larger machine: a twelve-speed transmission with four reverse gears, 8.3-24 rear tires, a 56.7 inch wheelbase, and a bare weight of 1773 lbs. in two-wheel drive or 2039 lbs. in four-wheel drive.
It was a practical size for small-acreage work, finish mowing, tilling and Category I three-point implements, with enough gear range to be useful both on a mower and on a loader. Original documentation for these early Shibaura-built Fords is increasingly scarce, and this is the manual Ford issued to owners rather than an aftermarket substitute.
