Ford 1100 Tractor Specifications

Specs HubFord › 1100

Complete specifications for the Ford 1100 compact tractor, transcribed from the specifications section of the factory operator's manual (SE 3749). The 1100 is the smallest tractor in this group: a two-cylinder diesel of 43.1 cu. in. rated at 2600 rpm and producing 11.0 observed PTO horsepower, on a 48 inch wheelbase and weighing 1131 lbs. in two-wheel drive. It carries a ten-speed transmission with two reverse gears and 7-16 rear tires, and was offered in both two-wheel and four-wheel drive.

Engine Oil

Ford specified Ford M2C121-A (Ford 300) engine oil. Should Ford engine oil not be readily available, the manual gives these commercial equivalents:

Commercial Engine Oil by Temperature
Temperature Viscosity Grade and API Classification
Below +32°F (0°C) Low Ash SAE 10W CD
32° to 50°F (0° to 10°C) Low Ash SAE 20 CD
Above 50°F (10°C) Low Ash SAE 30 CD

Fuel sulfur note, as printed: with a sulfur content below 1.0%, an API CC oil may be used instead of CD, but the oil change interval must be reduced to 50 hours and the filter changed every 100 hours. Between 1.0% and 1.3% sulfur a CD oil must be used (except at 10°F and below), with the same reduced 50-hour oil and 100-hour filter intervals. Fuel with a sulfur content above 1.3% is not recommended.

Notes:
1 The manual prints “See page 21” here, referring to the engine oil recommendations reproduced above.
2 Reproduced as printed. The pound and kilogram figures do not convert. 1131 lbs. is about 513 kg and 1244 lbs. is about 564 kg, so both metric values are roughly 60 lbs. worth low. The offset is consistent across the two columns rather than random, which suggests the figures were arrived at differently rather than mistyped, but the manual does not say so.
3 The manual presents ground speeds as a bar chart rather than a table. The values above are the endpoint figures printed on that chart at 1300 and 2600 rpm. They are transcribed, not measured from the graph. Unlike the chart in the Ford 1500 manual, this one is internally consistent with the 1100's own specifications: it is shod on the 7-16 standard rear tire and runs to the 1100's rated 2600 rpm.
The manual prints its own section heading as “HYDRUALIC LIFT SYSTEM”. It has been set correctly above.
