Ford 1100 Tractor Operator's Manual
50 pages, digital PDF download
This operator's manual provides complete factory guidance for the Ford 1100 compact tractor, covering safe operation, routine maintenance, lubrication, adjustments and full technical specifications. It is intended for owners, mechanics and restorers who need accurate, model-specific information for daily use or long-term care of the tractor.
Originally issued by Ford under manual code SE 3749, it documents the controls, operating procedures, service intervals and specifications required to properly maintain the Ford 1100 in both two-wheel drive and four-wheel drive configurations.
About the Ford 1100
The Ford 1100 is the smallest of Ford's early Shibaura-built compacts: a two-cylinder diesel of 43.1 cu. in. (706 cc), rated at 2600 rpm and producing 11.0 observed PTO horsepower. It runs ten forward gears and two reverse on 7-16 rear tires, with manual steering, drum brakes and a Live Category 1 three-point hitch.
At 1131 lbs. in two-wheel drive or 1244 lbs. in four-wheel drive, on a 48 inch wheelbase and 42 inches wide, it is a genuinely small tractor. That is the point of it: it goes down rows and through gates that nothing larger will manage, which is why they are still working on smallholdings and market gardens decades later.
