About the Ford 2110
The 2110 is a compact Ford utility tractor built in Japan by Shibaura from 1983 to 1987 as part of Ford's Ten Compact Series, identified by a Product Identification Plate on the left-hand side of the transmission housing. It runs a four-cylinder diesel of 138.5 cu. in. (2269 cc) on a 3.35 × 3.94 in. bore and stroke, with a 21:1 compression ratio, 1-3-4-2 firing order, and a rated speed of 2500 rpm. Power reaches the ground through a 12 × 4 synchromesh transmission and a dual clutch, and an accessory creeper range with a 7.46:1 ratio adds a further twelve forward and four reverse speeds for low-speed work.
On the implement end it carries a live PTO — a 1-3/8 in. six-spline SAE standard shaft turning 540 rpm at 2392 engine rpm, with 34.5 observed PTO horsepower — a live Category 1 three-point linkage, and a gear-type hydraulic pump rated 8.6 U.S. gpm at 2133 psi. Four-wheel drive and power steering were both options, and the tractor came with a rollover protective structure and suspension seat as standard equipment. Those options are exactly why the factory book still matters on a used one: the capacities, tire pressures, tread settings, and service intervals differ between the two-wheel and four-wheel drive versions, and this manual prints both side by side.

- Two drivelines, one book. The two-wheel and four-wheel drive tractors get their own lubrication and maintenance charts, their own tire specifications, and their own front wheel bolt torques — so you are working from the numbers for the tractor in front of you rather than a general figure.
- The service intervals that keep a compact diesel alive. Every lubrication and maintenance point is tied to an interval, with the correct fluid specification and capacity called out, which is most of what determines whether one of these is still running well decades on.
