Complete specifications for the Ford 7000 agricultural tractor, transcribed from the specifications section of the factory operator's manual (SE 3328). The 7000 is a four-cylinder diesel of 256 cu. in. (4.19 litres) rated at 2100 rpm, with a 13 inch single dry plate clutch, mechanical wet disc brakes, and Load Monitor hydraulics driving a Category II three-point linkage. At 6212 lbs. bare on an 87.5 inch wheelbase, it is a full-size farm tractor rather than a compact.

This manual is noticeably more thorough than Ford's compact tractor books of the same era. It gives valve clearance as go and no-go limits rather than a single figure, brake lining area, a steering pump relief setting, and ground speeds as a proper table at four engine speeds instead of a bar chart.

Fuel sulfur note, as printed: with a sulfur content below 1.0%, an API CC oil may be used instead of CD, but the oil and filter change interval must be reduced to 50 hours. Between 1.0% and 1.3% sulfur a CD oil must be used (except at 10°F and below), and this too requires the oil and filter to be changed every 50 hours. Fuel with a sulfur content above 1.3% is not recommended.
