Massey Ferguson MF 175 Tractor Specifications

Specs HubMassey Ferguson › MF 175

Complete specifications for the Massey Ferguson MF 175 tractor, transcribed from the specifications section of the factory operator's manual (Form No. 690 680 M1). The MF 175 was offered with a choice of a 206 cu. in. four-cylinder gasoline engine at 7.1:1 compression, or a 236 cu. in. four-cylinder diesel at 16:1 — the same displacement, bore and stroke as the diesel in the Massey Ferguson MF 180.

Transmission was either the standard Dual Range unit giving six forward and two reverse speeds, or the optional Multi-Power, which adds two-stage compounding for twelve forward and four reverse. Power take-off runs a three-position lever selecting engine-speed PTO, neutral, or ground-speed PTO, driven through a dual dry-disc clutch.

Notes:
1 Reproduced as printed. These rows convert U.S. to Imperial at a flat 0.8 ratio rather than the precise 0.8327 Imperial factor, understating the Imperial figure by about 4% in each case. Corrected values: Fuel Tank Gasoline 19.2 Imp. gals., Fuel Tank Diesel 15.4 Imp. gals., Cooling System Diesel 11.2 Imp. qts., Crankcase Diesel without filter 7.1 Imp. qts., with filter 7.9 Imp. qts., Power Steering Reservoir Diesel 1.5 Imp. qts., Steering Gear Housing 0.83 Imp. qts., Planetary Reduction Units 1.5 Imp. qts. The diesel fuel tank figures, 18.5 U.S. and 14.8 Imp., are identical to the same row in the MF 150 manual, so this looks like a print-run convention rather than a one-off error.
