About the 5600, 6600 and 7600
All three are four-cylinder tractors rated at 2100 rpm, with single dry plate clutches, mechanically actuated wet disc brakes, independent PTO and a Category II three-point linkage at 2500 psi.
The manual actually documents four engines. The 6600 was sold as a gasoline tractor as well as a diesel, running 7.75:1 compression against the diesel's 16.3:1, with an updraft carburettor, a Motorcraft AG5 plug and a smaller battery. The 5600 diesel is 233 cu. in.; the three 256 cu. in. engines differ in compression, with the 7600 lowest at 15.6:1. The 7600 also gets a 13 inch clutch against the others' 12 inch, an in-line injection pump rather than a distributor type, the 51 amp alternator as standard, and Load Monitor draft sensing as standard.
Configurations run wider than the model names suggest: All Purpose, Row Crop with a wide front end, Row Crop tricycle, and for the 6600 an Orchard specification with its own tire fitments.
