Complete specifications for the Massey Ferguson MF 1505 and MF 1805 articulated four-wheel-drive tractors, transcribed from the specifications section of the factory operator's manual (Form No. 1448 315 M4, dated 8/76). This is the updated version of the MF 1500/1800 line: both the 1505 and 1805 now share a single 8-cylinder, four-stroke, direct-injection 90° V diesel of 636 cu. in. at 16.5:1 compression — the same displacement previously reserved for the MF 1800 alone.

PTO output was independently tested at Nebraska: 174.46 hp for the MF 1505 (Test No. 1172) and 192.65 hp for the MF 1805 (Test No. 1173). Drive runs through a 14 inch single-disc foot-operated clutch to a basic 3-speed transmission with a standard/overdrive range ahead of the transmission and a hi-lo range in the transfer case, giving 12 forward and 4 reverse speeds — unchanged from the 1500/1800. The hydraulic system steps up to a 3-spool control valve with one float position, fed by two 23 gpm gear pumps, and the alternator is upgraded to 61 amps.
